7 Things You Don't Know About Me

So, I thought Maria's post on her blog was a really great idea, so I came up with my own "strange" melissa facts. Funny though, mine seem way more embarrassing than hers do. Why am I admitting this stuff????

1. I was a flute section leader in high school marching band. Yeah, geeky. I wanted to be a drum major, but then I wouldn’t get to play, and playing my flute was the only reason I was in band. Well, that and the cool uniform. I actually thought I’d go to Julliard one day! Haha!
2. Along the geeky lines, when I was a high school freshman, I was on my school’s bowling league. I was the worst one on the team so I quit the next year.
3. My middle name is Kim, not Kimberly, just Kim.
4. The only pets I’ve ever had were goldfish. But I had this one, his name was Spot and he lived for over 2 years. I used to put my finger at the top of the water and he’d nibble it. I cried my eyes out when he died.
5. I collected post cards when I was growing up. I think I have over 1200. My grandfather still sends me all the ones he ever gets in the mail. ☺
6. The first time Rob tried to kiss me I told him no. Even though I knew I wanted to be with him, I hadn’t broken up with my current boyfriend yet, and I didn’t want to be a cheater.
7. (This one is super-embarrassing.) Sometimes, when I’m in my car singing, I imagine myself on American Idol. :-p I think about what songs I would pick and everything! That is so bad, but I can’t imagine anything better than being a singer!

Well, that's my list. I hope you all still like me. ☺ You don't have to respect me, I just hope you still like me.

Hi, we don't know eachother or anything. I was checking out local blogs and read some of yours. You look like Audrey Hepburn in your profile pic. Very cute :)

In your last post you wrote you had a 2 y/o goldfish. I have one, just one. David Bowie... he's 6 y/o. He also does the finger nibble thing! DB, 2 cats and a small dog make up my mixed little family!

Hope you had a good holiday weekend!

When I had my old car, It got the CD player stolen out of it TWICE.... well, in between cd players, I would often talk to myself and sing to myself and one time I even practiced my outgoing answering machine a funky french accent "You have reached zee Fergeezon rezidence! Leave a mezzage at zee beep!"

Lets see... I'm glad you did this! :) LOL

1. I played the flute too but don't remember how anymore. I was in 5th grade.

2. I was geeky in school too... I hated sports so I was the secretary of SADD (student against drunk driving)... but I would be late to every meeting so they took away my position ( I had two jobs plus school at the time so I was always tired and the meetings were earlyyyyy). Anyhoo... I really liked it - it was fun!

3. Short and sweet, not like my 3 worded middle name. LOL

4. How cute.... SPOT. I've only had a dog in my life and I was 11. I hope to have another one in time... not now.

5. What an awesome collection. I should send you some for the heck of it so you can add them and read them when you're 80 and go who the heck is Maria... in where Arizona? Cowboy city?!

6. Well I think that was a very "character" thing to do! :) I was one to kiss on the first date! LOL

7. I sing in my car too... all the time... sometimes I check to make sure my cell phones off (you never know I used to dial people by accident from the phone being in my purse... )

AND OF COURSE WE STILL LIKE YOU!!! I don't think they're embarrassing...
