Invitation Color Palette Help

I need help. We need to get these invitations out soon, if we really want to have this get-together. But I'm having a tough time deciding on colors. And do I really need to coordinate my holiday decorations with my invitations? Because that would make things more difficult for me.

Anyway, I'd love to hear/read your thoughts about these color options below. THANKS!

By holiday decorations do you mean the ones you put up every year, or are you talking about decorations for the party?

Your party should have a color scheme from start to finish. Not only does it look better and more cohesive, it makes things so much easier! It may not seem like it, but it's easier to plan a party around a limited color scheme--the less options and decisions to make the better!

What colors do you have now? In terms of popularity and ease of finding party supplies, I would go with number 4 or 1. Michael's (do you have those back east?) Has really cute mini retro tinsel trees that are inexpensive ($9-$20) that would look great on flanking a buffet table. They also have a ton of glass ornament balls in various colors that you can pile up in large hurricanes. Fill the gaps up with battery-operated twinkle lights and you decor+lighting done.

I like the non-trad combos of 3 & 2. Number 4 is cute, but it strikes me as girlie -- I'd send that if I was having a gift exchange party with my girlfriends. Number 1 is really nice too -- a little more traditional, but in a more hip way. I think I'm narrowing it down to 1 and 2.
