How about a contest?

RJ of Stationery Hustle reminded me that I wanted to hold one more contest by the end of the year. And since I just finished up my calendar, let's go with that as the prize!

Just leave me a comment telling me your favorite month of the year and why. I'd have to go with June. Great weather. It's a non-hectic time at work. That's when I got married. And Flag Day! (Just kidding about that last part.) I'll pick a random winner on Monday, December 10th in the evening. Good luck!

These are adorable. I would love to win one.

My favorite month is January. I love the cold weather and the holiday rush is over. It's just a relaxing time for us.

November. It's my birthday month, the weather is nice, the leaves are gorgeous, zero smog, and the Christmas rush hasn't yet started. Awesomeness all around.

I love September. The beginning of back to school, the cool weather, the apple + pumpkin picking :)

Mine is September. I am very particular about what passes as the perfect day for me, but it invariably occurs in September. The sky is bluer. Leaves are yellower. There's still the occasional warmth of summer, but no humidity and no biting insects. Where I am it is a disappointingly narrow window, this time of year I enjoy, but when that perfect day shows, I am in the woods, miles away from the back-to-school, back-to-work crowd. I aim to take my vacations in September for this reason alone. October is my birth month, but by then these perfect conditions are long gone. Secretly, I'm a September baby. Now gimme that calendar.

I'll go with July! It's the month my children were born. :)

Hmmm... I'd have to say May because I love Spring and gardening. In May, the snow is gone (usually) and the weather starting to warm up here in MN. :)

September, for sure!

Right in the beginning is Labor Day -- horray for long weekends! That's also the weekend I got married :)

Fall is setting in. The colors are absolutely gorgeous come later in the month, especially in the mountains. We love to drive up some mountain passes to view them and take pictures -- and if you have ever seen an Aspen tree in the fall, you will know what I mean.

It's also one of the best months to hike up a 14er; warm enough where you can camp out the night before, and the weather is the best time in Colorado for this activity.

Still warm enough for BBQs and outside get-togethers, but not hot and uncomfortable. Football season is in the air!

I'm am sooo participating!!!

March has been my favorite month for ages. First off, I LOVE St. Patrick's day. March in Kansas is always tricky to figure out in terms of weather, which I think is great -- you can't ever tell if you'll need a hoodie, or flip flops, but I usually combine the two. March also reminds me of the color green -- maybe because of St. Patty's day, maybe because it's spring -- and green is my all time favorite color. March also means it's about time to head to the nursery and shop for flowers -- even though I don't actually plant things myself (I just look forward to everyone else planting things for me to photograph).

So, that's my answer! Your calendar is gorgeous, Mel!

I love December...yes it's cold but living in SD can almost guarentee that you don't have to put away those flip flops....=) There is something about listening to Christmas carols, putting up lights and decorations, the smell of fresh tree lots (and picking out the perfect treat), hot cocoa, searching for the perfect gifts for friends, spending time with family, and although it is always a frenzy and hectic time of year, I look forward to Christmas parties. December is definitely my favorite month of the year!

Ooooh, definitely would love to win the calendar. I'm in the market for one that sits in those cool cd holder thingies.

I think my favorite month is October. The weather is good, not too hot, but not freezing enough to need a winter coat yet. The leaves are changing colors. Oh and don't forget Halloween!

oh, yay! i love how it turned out! so wonderful!!!

well, july is my most favorite month and always has been...i mean, the month starts off with fireworks! a whole day of celebrating and fun with family and picnics and sparklers (and it isn't about buying presents and squeezing in too many family events and being stressed out!) it's just plain fun! i love it! now as an adult, the extra day off of work doesn't hurt either ;-) so...july also happens to be my birthday month - yay! i've always loooooved having a summer birthday. now my daughter's birthday is in july too and we usually throw a huge (sticky and hot) outdoor party! this year was a mexican fiesta! woohoo! it was a blast...pinatas, virgin daquiries & non-virgin daquiries, taco bar, presents, fun! but most of all i love the quality time my kids and i share going to the pool every day in the super hot, sticky, yucky weather...it is so much fun, we have a blast (i'm so lucky to be a freelance designer and make my own schedule)...so we play at the pool all day and i work late into the night to make up for it....so worth it :) everything about july just makes me smile :)

I love October. The air changes, the leaves turn pretty colors and the smell of fireplaced burning is just the best. Plus my first was born that month and it's always filled with getting ready for her birthday and Halloween. I love how the calendar came out btw. And your tree in your new place. What a cool picture.

It was always October when I lived in MA. but now that I'm in AZ it has to be December. Nice cool days and nights. Such a relief after so many months of over 100 degree days.

love, love, love your new calendar! It's really adorable!! Every single month is cute and has something to offer! My initial loves are March, July, October, and December.

Since I love fireworks (and missed them last year due to my 3 year old freaking out afraid of them) I vote July :)

Seriously, great job on this, so cute!

Aww. My first entry didn't go through! :-(

It would have to be November. My birthday month, great weather where I live (desert), and the holiday spirit is in the air...but there still isn't that crazy OMG CHRISTMAS IS COMING WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!?! frenzy on the streets.

Oooo! Love your calender. Mmmm... let's see, I would have to say October. To me, it's the beginning of the end of the year, the beginning of finishing up and a fresh start.
Thanks for having the giveaway.

January is my favourite!
If nothing else, for the magical feeling of lying on my back in the snow, looking up on the northern lights. Magic.

Ooooh! I love the calendar. It's so pretty!

Hands down October is my favorite month for so many reasons. Here in NC it's still warm enough in October to wear short sleeves during the day but the nights are cool enough not to need the AC anymore. By then at least a month of school has gone by and my very routine oriented autistic son is starting to settle into his new routine, so my life gets a little easier. Also I am a Halloween FREAK! I start planning out my decorations and our costumes in August. Is there something wrong with me because I like to scare little kids? LOL! Plus next October my husband will be home for mid-tour leave! YEAH! So October is definitely my favorite month. :-)

Melissa, I just got here from your package to me on swap bot! I love everything and that you made these things -awesome! So I go here and there is a contest? Woo-hoo! Just in time. This calender looks great.

My favourite month would be October. I am in north Canada and the bugs are gone, the heat is gone(yes it is HOT in August) and all the maples are starting to change into the wonderful orange and red show they put on every year. The air is crisp, but not freezing(like now!) and it is a perfect time for being outside. Love it!

December. I love the entire month. I love how busy it is, how crazy everyone gets, looking at all the decorations, Christmas music, trees, wrapping presents, and the Brandy Alexanders my dad always makes on Chrsitmas Eve (which I can't have this year - boo!).
I also love your calendar ;)
Merry Christmas!

Wonderful calendar! My fave month is October. :)

I love the calendars! I will have to hive them in stylehive!

I was going to say June too! But its because it's my birthday month, so that doesn't count.

September is my favorite month because "September is the time to begin again." I saw this quote on the cover of Skirt magazine when I was going to college in charleston sc. The quote was with a 1920s-ish woman walking forward on a city street in black and white. So, I just really like that and try to live by it. Its when I joined a womens group to get the courage to quit my job and to it full time under my design company - now I include website design. It's when I will get married in 2008, and it's always inspiring to buy new office supplies (ahem, school school supplies).

Yay September!
Ps: this was typed on my iPhone :)

My favorite month is October. Because of the cool fall nights and eerie scary frights!

Usually I would say December because I get to see my family and, of course, presents! But right now, I am looking forward to February since my baby is due in February.

I love your calendar! June is awesome with all these little ladybugs!

My favourite month is June. It's always great weather and the summer says 'Hi!' for the first time. It isn't too hot but you can sit outside with a good book and just enjoy the great atmosphere in your garden or on your balcony. And, not to forget, it's the month I first kissed my boyfriend. :]

October, definitely October. It's the month of my birthday, it's the month I got married/celebrate anniversaries in, the weather is great here, the leaves peak near the end of the month, there's Halloween to look forward to, football is in full-swing, baseball finally gets interesting again, Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the horizon and the time change hasn't taken place yet, so there's none of the awful getting dark before leaving work.

Yes, each month has it's own advantages, but to me, October is king!

It's a toss-up between April and October.

April - start of baseball season and the beginning of all the blooms

October - football, baseball and hockey at the same time! Also, the beginning of fall colors and a chill in the air

Thanks, Mel. Love the calendars.
