Tag, you're it.

My gift tags arrived! Woohoo! And I'll have to say, I'm surprised at how well they turned out, considering they were printed at a random online cheapo print place. I ordered 20 of each design (6 designs in all) and the total, with shipping, was $25. Not bad. I think I may have to order some more, if I get some good feedback.

And here they are!

And these are the 6 designs for the tags.

I'd better get some sunny days this weekend so I can take a few decent photos. I've been trying to take these photos at night by dangling a lamp in my left hand while holding the camera in my right.

If you've wandered into my blog, I'd love to hear what you think about the tags. Should I go ahead and order more or wait to see if these 20 packs go at the show?

I knew about the craft show you got into, but I haven't had a chance to drop by the ol' blog and see what has been up! I love these! I think 20 sets is low, but what do I know? :)

I love the box sets of cards! I like the new pink & black ones.

We have been slammed at work, so I don't get to do my usual lurking. We are hiring another designer, so hopefully I can go back to lolly-gagging around on the 'net again soon ;)

Miss ya!

I really like them. How much are you selling them for? That would make a difference in how many to order.

Mary, those pink and black ones are my fav. They'll be tough to sell because I'll want to keep them!

Rachel, I was thinking maybe $4-$4.50 for the pack? I don't know, what do you think?

OH the cuteness!!! I'm so glad that you had a good experience -- especially after my ordeal... Are the tags on a heavy matte paper? They're so cute that I'm certain you'd be able to sell a lot, so maybe try ordering a few more sets.

How many of your cards are in a boxed set? $4 seems really low judging by the fact that they're handmade and how beautiful they are. Would you be making any sort of profit pricing them that way? If so -- great! Gorgeous, inexpensive cards! If it helps, I was thinking of pricing those notecards on my blog between $1 and $2 (with matching envelope).

Oh I think they are terrific!

I like that you can see the different designs on the backside.

I bet you sell out :)

Thanks! Yeah, it's a pretty weight matte paper. At least 80#, but maybe even 100#. I was very surprised!

Oh, I was thinking $4 for the gift tag set! The boxed set of cards will have to be more because it takes me FOREVER to make those. First there's all the cutting, then the tearing, then the sewing, then making the embellishments, then gluing everying together. Sheesh. Sometimes I want to give up on them because I don't think I can make a profit, but they're my favorite thing to make!

Oh I got confused reading the comments! I feel the same way and I don't make anything by hand... Definitely don't undersell yourself -- your cards are gorgeous! I think $4 for the tags is great, and I'm going to have to give your printer a try! ;)

I thought I left another comment, but just in case you didn't get it:

I just placed an order at that printer to see for myself! Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the other comments -- I think $4 is great for the tags. I definitely struggle with deciding how much to charge for my stuff too -- and mine isn't handmade...

I meant to ask you the other day: How can I go about buying one of those nifty key fobs and a set of notecards from you?

Love those tags, especially the green dots and blue flowers. Lovely!

You all are so sweet! :-) Hmm, maybe I should considering putting some more stuff on etsy. I just haven't had any luck with it, so I kind of gave up. Maybe after this weekend I'll add some of my new things.

Wow Mel- Haven't been here in a while...you've been busy. Congrats on the show, that should be fun (and successful I'm sure) and the tags look great! Nice job.
